Free LinkedIn "Add to Profile" URL generator
Give recipients a one-click link that opens LinkedIn's "Add licenses & certifications" form with their certificate already filled in.
Runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded
Share this link with your recipient by email, on the certificate itself, or on its verification page — they click it, review the pre-filled form, and save it to their own profile.
Do this for every recipient
Skip building one link at a time
Building these links one by one works for a single certificate, but not for a cohort of fifty. CertificateJoy adds a ready-to-click "Add to LinkedIn" button to every certificate it issues automatically, complete with a real hosted verification page for the credential URL.
Frequently asked questions
What is a LinkedIn "Add to Profile" link?
It is a special LinkedIn URL that opens the "Add licenses & certifications" form on a profile with the certificate name, issuing organization, dates, and credential details already filled in. The recipient still reviews and saves it themselves — LinkedIn does not accept fields it has not verified came from the member clicking the link.
Do I need a LinkedIn Page to use this?
No. If your organization has a LinkedIn Page, add its exact name so LinkedIn can try to match it automatically. If you don't have one, leave that matching to the recipient — the link still pre-fills the certificate name, dates, and credential ID either way.
Will this automatically post the certificate to LinkedIn?
No. Nothing is posted automatically. The link only opens LinkedIn's own "Add licenses & certifications" form with fields pre-filled — the recipient must click "Save" for anything to appear on their profile.
What should I put in the credential URL field?
Use a page the recipient (or anyone checking their profile) can visit to confirm the certificate is real — ideally a public verification page. If you don't have one yet, you can leave it blank, but a working verification link makes the credential far more credible on a profile.
Is this tool free, and does it store my data?
Yes, completely free with no signup. The link is built in your browser from the details you enter — nothing is uploaded or stored on any server.
