This policy explains what information CertificateJoy collects through certificatejoy.com and how that information is used. It covers our marketing pages, free tools, setup enquiries, and certificate workspace.

Information we collect

We keep data collection on this site to what is necessary to run and improve it:

• Analytics. We use Simple Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect or store IP addresses. It records aggregate page views, referrers, and anonymized browser/device information.
• Page interactions. Marketing pages also use Microsoft Clarity to understand clicks, scrolling, and page usage through heatmaps and session recordings. Clarity may use cookies. See Clarity's privacy informationand the Microsoft Privacy Statement. The setup enquiry page, authentication pages, workspace, and verification pages do not load our analytics scripts.
• Setup enquiries. The setup page prepares an email draft on your device. Its fields are not submitted to our website server. If you send the email, we receive your name, email address, business details, and certificate volume to respond and arrange setup. If you use our separate form, that form is hosted by Tally. Information you submit (such as your name, email address, and any message) is stored by Tally and shared with the CertificateJoy team to respond to your request. Review Tally's privacy practices for details on how they handle form data.
• Workspace accounts and records. We store your account email, a password hash, session records, certificate batches, and issued certificate details in our PostgreSQL database. Certificate details include the recipient name, program, issue date, issuer, signer, template, and status. These records support signing in, issuing certificates, and managing verification and revocation.

Public certificate pages

Issued certificates have public verification pages. Anyone with the certificate link or ID can view the recipient name, program, issue date, issuer, signer, and certificate status, and download the certificate PDF. Account email addresses and session details are not part of these public pages. Only issue certificates whose details you are authorized to publish.

Our free browser tools process certificate details on your device. Tools that handle recipient lists, signatures, or workshop details opt out of analytics; their inputs are not uploaded to our server.

Third-party services

This site loads scripts and forms from the following third parties, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Simple Analytics (site analytics)
• Microsoft Clarity (marketing page interactions)
• Tally (the separate enquiry form)
• Google Fonts (webfont delivery)
• Railway (application hosting and PostgreSQL workspace records)

The workspace uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. Contact us about access, corrections, or deletion of your account or certificate information. We confirm certificate hosting and retention terms before a paid subscription starts.

Changes to this policy

As CertificateJoy's product develops, this policy will be updated to reflect any new data we collect, including changes to certificate issuance and recipient verification. We'll update the "last updated" date above when that happens.
